The process of designing roads and parking lots requires coordination of traffic movement, parking needs, ordinance requirements, grade issues, snow removal considerations, drainage, and aesthetics. Most importantly, we will seek your input on needs and layout so our designs are consistent with your project plan. Local ordinances for parking lot designs affect size, shape, number of spaces, and landscaping. Road constraints might include local ordinance requirements, avoidance or minimization of wetland disturbance, minimization of road length, and grading issues.
